Pointe orlando - Slab sawing
The concrete cutting project at The Pointe Orlando, carried out by us, was crucial to the mall’s renovation. Given the public nature of the site, precision and efficiency were prioritized, working primarily at night or after closing time to minimize disruption to businesses and visitors. Three Core Cut slab saws were used, and Taiwanese diamond blades were identified as the most effective. A team of two cutters and four assistants handled the work.
Project summary
The main challenges included the logistics of night work, noise and dust management, and access maintenance. To mitigate these, strategic planning was implemented, encompassing early equipment preparation, thorough cleaning with pressure washers, and constant communication with all stakeholders. Rigorous safety measures were implemented, including the use of personal protective equipment and careful space management. This strategy protected business sales, reduced stress for owners, and maintained a positive customer experience by ensuring safe and accessible areas.
