Project details
Slab sawing - Disney Resorts
For four months, we were responsible for cutting and removing the concrete floor, which would later be restored by other teams. In total, we removed 15,000 square feet of material, with depths of 5 to 6 inches in most of the area and occasional sections of 12 inches. These deeper areas quickly filled the trucks and required precise logistics to keep pace without disrupting the other contractors.
challenges and dedication
The client was particularly demanding regarding aesthetics. There was one section that didn’t blend in with the rest of the site: we decided to remove that section again, and when we found internal rebar, we cut the steel to allow for the installation of a new section that met the established visual standard. Additionally, the rain forced us to reschedule shifts and protect sensitive areas, as moisture affects concrete and its handling.
With planning, proper equipment, and extreme care in cleaning cuts and finishes, we completed the work within the project schedule. The result: a surface ready for restoration, an organized process, and a customer satisfied with the quality and final presentation of our work.
